An automounter is any program or software facility which automatically mounts filesystems in response to access operations by user programs. An automounter system utility (daemon under Unix), when notified of file and directory access attempts under selectively monitored subdirectory trees, dynamically and transparently makes local or remote devices accessible. I am not sure how I told AutoMounter that I want this network share that is on a NAS that no longer exists, but now I cannot find how to un-tell it because AutoMounter is attacking every 60 seconds. Console shows the proof: Share 'homes' started to mount with URL: afp://mlitwin@diaspora(AFP).afpovertcp.tcp.local/homes.

Enables or disables the automount feature. When enabled (the default), Windows automatically mounts the file system for a new basic or dynamic volume when it is added to the system, and then assigns a drive letter to the volume.

- In storage area network (SAN) configurations, disabling automount prevents Windows from automatically mounting or assigning drive letters to any new basic volumes that are visible to the system.
